About Us
The global population is projected to grow by 2.4 billion people over the next three decades. To ensure sustainable food production for this expanding population, new approaches are essential. Sustainable disease management plays a crucial role in maintaining stable food production with high yields and a safe food supply. Our research group employs 'omics' technologies to delve into disease epidemiology, encompassing studies on the molecular mechanisms of host adaptation and interactions, phylogenomics and evolution, microbiome analysis, and bioinformatics. Additionally, we innovate by developing novel next-generation detection methods based on NGS and computational analyses, with applications in routine diagnostics, biosecurity, and microbial forensics.
