The goal of this seminar series is to understand the role of phytobiomes as a new paradigm to provide disease resistance to the plants. The presentation and paper were a lot of work, but I am walking away with a great deal of new information that I enjoyed learning about. Overall, I enjoyed that the most.

Really updated, important and emerging topic to talk about. Students with different backgrounds took the course so more broad points of view were given. Some students did really well and provided really good presentations and really nice examples and applications of the phytobiome.

Having each student present on a sub-topic within the overall subject of the phytobiome I felt was the most valuable. It forces us to learn about a specific topic, but also contribute to the overall course.

Unlike any seminar in Plant Patholgy classes I have attended, this class with Dr. Arif is unique
in such a way that we will be publishing a review article on Phytobiome, the seminar's topic. This will be a great accomplishment and will be first of it's kind. Dr. Arif put an extra ordinary effort into materializing this output and I am very inpired by him commitments. An excellent effort!!

Keep offering the course in special topic or something so that other students (interested) keep involving in the topic in other semesters.
